About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to join GF Futures (Singapore) Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Central Region. As an IT System Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining, supporting and optimising our IT infrastructure and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network and server environments, providing technical support to end-users, and implementing solutions that support the organisation's strategic objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies whilst contributing directly to the efficiency and security of our business operations.

Key responsibilities

  1. Install, configure and maintain servers, workstations and network equipment to ensure optimal performance and security

  2. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement preventative maintenance schedules

  3. Manage user access controls, permissions and authentication systems across the network infrastructure

  4. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical business data

  5. Provide technical support to end-users, responding promptly to IT incidents and requests through ticketing systems

  6. Manage patches, updates and upgrades to operating systems and applications in accordance with change management procedures

  7. Document system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps to maintain comprehensive IT knowledge bases

  8. Collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders to identify system requirements and implement improvements

  9. Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data protection regulations and industry standards


What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as an IT System Administrator or similar technical support role, preferably with 3+ years in a comparable environment

  2. Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems and system administration principles

  3. Experience with network administration, including TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies

  4. Proficiency with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

  5. Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions

  6. Experience managing user accounts, permissions and active directory environments

  7. Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures

  8. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

  9. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical support to non-technical users

  10. Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Associate or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable

  11. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  12. Fresh graduates are welcome
