IT Technician- B Crew Schedule

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented IT Technician to support operations through reliable system performance and technical support. This role is responsible for maintaining production IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced automotive environment. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data-driven leader with initiative and a desire for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

This position is on-site at our Louisville, KY facility and reports to the IT Manager as part of the IT team.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain broadcast systems, error-proofing systems, printers, and production interfaces
  • Manage backup hardware, software, and spare parts for critical production systems
  • Support production systems to reduce or eliminate equipment downtime and scrap
  • Assist with implementation of IT-related projects including VA/VE and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and disaster recovery procedures

Who You Are

  • High School Diploma with additional technical education or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of IT or technical support experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft systems, networking, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Experience with operating systems, databases, and production-related technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation

Health, Safety, Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Work in both office and plant environments requiring standing, sitting, and regular computer use.
  • Must be able to move throughout the facility and perform general physical tasks.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required, with additional travel during launches or critical support situations.
