IT Technician (German Speaking)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist who is fluent in German to join our team. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our crew members while they are at sea. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating our IT systems and ensuring they are functioning efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support and assistance to crew members on board vessels

- Troubleshoot and resolve any IT-related issues that may arise

- Maintain and update all IT systems, including hardware and software

- Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems and data

- Work closely with other departments to identify and implement IT solutions to improve efficiency and productivity

- Train crew members on how to use various IT systems and software

- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT developments and trends in the maritime industry

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals

- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Fluency in German is a must

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems

- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving IT issues

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when necessary

- Knowledge of the maritime industry is a plus
