Deltatre is seeking an experienced front-end engineering leader based in Italy to oversee all frontend aspects of complex projects. You will guide architecture, ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance UI solutions, and mentor the team to deliver high-quality code.

You will collaborate with product and technical leadership to shape technical direction, define acceptance criteria, and manage risks. This role combines hands-on coding with strategic influence in a collaborative environment.

Oversee front-end engineering across projects, ensuring robust and accessible solutions. Plan and monitor front-end development activities, prioritising tasks and estimating work. Review code quality and ensure adherence to standards and performance benchmarks. Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary. Drive adoption of automation and modern front-end technologies. Maintain front-end workflows and architectural documentation. Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles. Experience with Node.js, Next.js framework, and SSR concepts. Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS for responsive UI. Expertise in front-end testing using Jest. Expertise designing scalable front-end architecture for complex apps. Strong understanding of performance optimisation, security, and accessibility. High proficiency with Git. Experience guiding and mentoring engineers. Track record of architectural decisions and trade-offs. Familiarity with IaC for deployment and release management. Basic knowledge of self-hosting Node.js in containers. Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration. Experience with front-end build tools and module bundlers.
