◆Role Overview:

Our client is a leading consulting firm supporting banking transformation initiatives across the APAC region. This role focuses on reviewing business and system requirements, analysing transaction banking processes, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with business users, IT teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders to support successful project delivery across banking system initiatives. The position is ideal for professionals with strong banking domain knowledge and hands-on system analysis experience.

◆Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and system design documents for banking projects.
• Understand banking transaction flows and ensure alignment between business and system requirements.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and issues within project documentation and processes.
• Coordinate requirement and design clarifications with business users, IT teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders.
• Support project governance, progress tracking, risk management, and issue resolution activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and alignment to support successful project delivery.
• Maintain project documentation and support reporting on project status and key action items.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

◆Requirements:

[Must Have]

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar role within banking system projects.
• Strong experience as a System Analyst in banking environments.
• Knowledge of Payments, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, or Corporate Banking.
• Experience reviewing functional specifications, system design documents, interface specifications, and business requirements.
• Ability to analyse end-to-end transaction flows, system interactions, and system dependencies.
• Experience in source-to-target data mapping, interface specifications, message transformation logic, and functional specifications.
• Experience conducting impact analysis, gap analysis, and requirements clarification.
• Ability to review solution designs and provide constructive challenge to technical proposals from vendors.
• Experience collaborating with business users, IT teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese to liaise and collaborate with English-speaking and Japanese-speaking stakeholders and clients.
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to project success.

[Good to Have]

• Experience with Cash Management System (CMS) platforms, Transaction Banking transformation programmes, payment modernisation, or ISO 20022 migration projects.
• Understanding of cloud-based banking architectures, API integrations, middleware platforms, and system migration initiatives.
• Experience in project governance, PMO support, vendor management, project planning, status reporting, and project controls.
• Experience supporting regional APAC banking projects or working within Japanese corporate environments.
