Job Description

We are looking to hire Java & API Developer role for a renowned IT client in Krakow,Poland.This is acontract role and a hybrid work opportunity.

• Deliver engineering expertisefor our Future State Architecture, producing best in class paymentprocessing capabilities
  
• Deliver high quality codeartefacts ensuring quality gates are surpassed and robust test scripts areincluded
  
• Focus on delivering highlyavailable, highly resilient software and service capability
  
• Participate in a wider deliveryteam providing development of the new capabilities
  
• Support transformation of thecurrent payment estate, with laser focus on modernization and adoption ofcloud-based technology
  

Therole including below major accountabilities ：

• Set the level expected forsoftware delivery within the team, leading by example
  
• Serve as expert in area ofresponsibility, identifies process improvements and problem prevention,and advises department and management of relevant information asappropriate
  
• Provides analysis and solutionsto technical and business issues
  
• Understand and apply technologyand corporate vision setting direction on implementation.
  
• Maintain awareness of businessand technology strategies and implements technical alternatives andstrategies to gain competitive advantage
  
• Maintains the complex technicalinfrastructure of assigned area to meet the business requirements.
  
• Provides technical solutions tobusiness problems, technical leadership and direction to management.
  
• Remain current on technical andprofessional advances and business strategies regarding area ofresponsibility
  
• Resolve architectural ordevelopment blockers raised
  
• Partner with DevOps team toenable automated infrastructure delivery, DevSecOps value streams areexecuted and CI /CD pipelines to deploy services
  
• Initiate analysis for complexproblems and issues, determine technical alternatives, analyse vendorsolutions and negotiate contracts, and develop appropriate standards fortechnology application.
  
• Provide technical leadershipand consultation to project team members as directed by the projectmanager
  
• Initiate and conductfeasibility studies of new and modified operational procedures.
  
• For large systems, preparecost/benefit analyses, functional and detail specifications
  
• Provide direct guidance inplanning, designing, programming, documentation and implementation of thesystems
  
• Perform reviews of new andexisting systems to ensure operational integrity and accomplishment ofstated objective
  
• Design, code, test, debug anddocument programs as required.
  
• Provide architecture guidanceto developers based on best practices and in alignment with globalstandards
  
• Ensuring compliance with allrelevant controls and standards
  
• Keep up-to-date and haveexpertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security andregulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, dataresidency etc. that are applicable

Qualifications

Knowledge& Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required inComputer Science, Engineering or related majors
  
• Minimum of 8 years’ appliedexperience as an API engineer
  
• Strong experience in APIdesigning and creating architectural artefacts such as gap analysis, lowlevel designs, data models etc.
  
• More than 5 years ofengineering background in back-end microservices application development,application security and authentication development, cache and middleware
  
• More than 8 years’ experienceprogramming in Java and ideally Go and Rust
  
• Expertise in JVM tuning anddiagnostic for application troubleshooting and performance-optimization
  
• Experience working with Kafka,Docker, k8s, service mesh
  
• Experience with monitoring andobservability technologies: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Kiali,Open Telemetry
  
• Experience in cloud and DevOps,familiar to network (VPC) and firewall on cloud, identity and accessmanagement, cloud delivery including sizing and costing
  
• Demonstrable knowledge oninfrastructure like Linux OS, networking, storage, network load-balancing,Kubernetes CNI.
  
• Strong SQL coding abilities ispreferred
  
• Experience of working in afinancial institution, ideally in payments
  
• Ability to work independentlyand think out of the box
