Java Backend API Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend API Developer with strong full-stack development capabilities to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing clean, maintainable code, follows modern software engineering best practices, and has hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and enhance full-stack applications using React, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Build robust backend services with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB for transactional and NoSQL data storage.
Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and testable code following coding standards and best practices.
Design applications with resilience in mind by implementing comprehensive error handling, logging, monitoring, and failure recovery mechanisms.
Create and maintain automated unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests to ensure software quality.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.
Follow Git branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies.
Build and deploy cloud-native applications based on modern architectural principles, including immutable infrastructure and microservices.
Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and implement continuous improvements.
Produce technical documentation, API specifications, and implementation guides where required.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java (latest version) and Spring Boot.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, Redux, HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
Experience writing comprehensive unit, integration, and automated acceptance tests.
