Java Backend Developer – Commercial Banking

Build and maintain scalable Java backend services for a commercial banking platform using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices on OpenShift.
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a dynamic team working on high-impact Commercial Banking Platform and integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable integration solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum environment throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop containerized applications for deployment on OpenShift.
- Ensure backend applications meet performance, security, scalability, and reliability standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Extensive experience with REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
- Hands-on experience building containerized applications.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OpenShift, or GCP.
Nice to Have
- DMN experience with Camunda, Drools, or similar technologies.
- Front-end experience with React.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI coding assistants.
