Java Backend Developer

As a part of the Lufthansa Group we implement technological solutions and dedicated services. Who are you? Your profile: Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Java Developer. Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring Framework. Experience in building RESTful services Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments and Bash scripting. Experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes usage. Experience in writing unit and integration tests. Knowledge of software design patterns and clean code principles. Good English communication skills (B2 or higher). Ownership mindset and ability to work independently Good knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell usage. What do we welcome? Experience in C/C++ Experience working in Unix/Linux environments. Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases. Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins). Experience building RESTful services and APIs. Familiarity with messaging systems such as JMS and ActiveMQ. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools. Why do we need you? You will be responsible for: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java (8+) and Spring Framework Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices ensuring high performance and reliability Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following clean code principles and design patterns Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality Work with Docker containers and support deployments in Kubernetes environments (basic level) Operate and troubleshoot applications in Linux/Unix environments, including writing and maintaining Bash scripts Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product) to deliver high-quality solutions Take ownership of features and components, working independently when needed Participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions Communicate effectively in English in an international environment What we can offer?
