Java Backend Developer

We are now looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Forms experience to join our international projects team and contribute to building high-quality, end-to-end digital solutions for global banking transformation projects.

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will work on rewarding, large-scale international projects to design, build, and maintain innovative backend software solutions for the banking sector. You will play a key role in core banking transformation initiatives, combining modern Java architectures with legacy database and forms capabilities while working alongside global project teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, compliant, and scalable banking-related backend software solutions for international projects.
• Implement robust back-end Java applications alongside core database logic using Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Forms.
• Design workflow applications and process-driven backend solutions using BPM tools, specifically IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow).
• Integrate back-end web services, databases, and client systems via REST and SOAP APIs.
• Apply advanced design patterns and microservices architecture to ensure high scalability, security, and performance.
• Create standard-compliant, secure backend code and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional international teams to deliver end-to-end digital banking applications.

Qualifications / Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of backend software development experience, preferably within the banking sector (experience in banking transformation projects is a strong plus).
• Mandatory hands‑on experience and deep expertise in Java, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle Forms.
• Solid background in back‑end development using Spring Framework (MVC, Boot, Data), JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases (Oracle DB, MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Practical experience in workflow design and process‑based development on BPM tools, specifically IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow).
• Strong command of enterprise management and version control tools (Git, Jira, TFS, ClearCase, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud environments such as Docker and AWS.
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken) for active participation in international project environments.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, research mindset, and problem‑solving capabilities in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
• Ability to approach AI with curiosity and intention, actively incorporating AI‑powered tools into workflows to enhance productivity and drive innovation.
