Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot) - Banking sector.

Summary

Design and develop scalable Spring Boot backend applications and RESTful APIs for a banking-sector project, working with Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL/NoSQL databases in a collaborative Agile team.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Spring Boot.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design and implement efficient data models.
  • Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and deploy them in Kubernetes environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development using Spring Boot.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot modules such as Spring Web and Spring Data.
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with unit testing using JUnit and standard mocking libraries.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes as deployment environments.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
  • Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with database migration tools such as Flyway.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Understanding of Microservices architecture and API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
