Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications.

• Work with databases and write optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and processing.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Testers, DevOps Engineers, and other technical teams.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.

• Support application deployments and system maintenance activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Java Development.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java 8 or higher.

• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture is preferred.

• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies.

• Experience with automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Exposure to application monitoring and production support.
