Java Backend Developer
Summary
Contract Java backend developer (15-16 months) in McLean, VA, splitting time between coding, code enhancement, and production/non-production troubleshooting. Primary stack is Java with Python or other scripting, testing and SDLC, plus CI/CD via Jenkins; AWS, React/Angular, and Gen AI tools (Kiro, Amazon Queue) are pluses.

Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 15 -16 Months
Description : Must Have Qualifications:
- The candidate must be familiar with troubleshooting and enhancing code using Java, Python, scripting, and DevOps. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Gen AI tools such as Kiro and Amazon Queue, as well as experience with Jenkins, is also required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or other related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Advanced studies/degree preferred
- 2-+ years of Technology experience in hands on programming and developing and delivering high-quality engineering deliverables
- Highly proficient in Full Stack development (React, Java script, Python, Java, Angular). Experience with AWS.
- Ability to analyze system architecture and contribute to design planning.
- Experience with enterprise-grade web content management platforms (Acquia, SiteCorp or similar frameworks) is desired.
- Expertise in managing landscape of tools related to knowledge management and content tools (Ex Drupal) is desired.
- Technical knowledge of communication channels, deliverability, and compliance.
- Experience collaborating with business leaders in marketing, HR, legal, and compliance teams.
- Ability to manage dependencies with vendors or internal engineering teams for software delivery.
- Experience with Ping/Single Sign-On, Bitbucket pipelines, Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare, etc.), website monitoring tools (New Relic, etc.) and a solid understanding of DNS, TLS certificates, REST APIs, and caching strategies.
