Required Skills
Core Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to write custom frameworks and reusable components.
Data & File Processing
- Hands-on experience with file handling and processing on VSIs and Amazon S3.
- Proven experience with large-file processing at scale.
- Working knowledge of Apache Flink (recommended).
- Hands-on experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as MQ and/or Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native application development.
- Working knowledge of AWS (recommended).
- Experience designing highly resilient, share-nothing, multi-region architectures.
Ways of Working & Tooling
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and/or Claude.
- Experience working in Agile, self-managing teams.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java backend services.
- Engineer large-scale file handling and processing across VSIs and Amazon S3, and build streaming/batch pipelines with Apache Flink on AWS.
- Deploy on Kubernetes using cloud-native patterns, with share-nothing, multi-region architecture for fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Develop robust REST APIs, enforcing best practices for security, scalability, versioning, documentation, and error handling.
- Integrate and manage service registries for dynamic service discovery in microservices environments.
- Use AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
