Java Backend Engineer
Summary
The Java Backend Engineer will design and build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures. The role involves managing database integrations, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and maintaining high code quality through testing and CI/CD practices.
- Service Development: Design, build, and optimize robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- System Architecture: Build scalable, resilient distributed systems and implement event-driven workflows with tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Database Management: Integrate and manage relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
- Deployment & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them via Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms.
- Code Quality: Write clean code, perform code reviews, and maintain unit/integration tests using JUnit or Mockito.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+), OOPs, collections, and multithreading.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, and messaging queues (Kafka).
