Detailed Job Description

As a Java Developer at AMK Technology in Jakarta, you will take full ownership of building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable enterprise software solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass developing clean, maintainable backend code in Java, implementing distributed microservices patterns, and configuring low-latency message streaming using Apache Kafka and Redis caching layers. You will participate actively in Agile sprint planning, code reviews, system integration testing, and performance tuning to ensure high availability and low latency across production environments. Working in a collaborative onsite environment, you will translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and troubleshoot intricate distributed system issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust enterprise applications and distributed microservices using Java.
• Implement high-throughput event-driven messaging and real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Configure and optimize high-performance caching layers and session management using Redis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional software engineering and architecture teams to design scalable backend systems.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software defects, performance bottlenecks, and concurrency issues.
• Participate actively in Agile development sprints, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and release planning.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, API specifications, and system architecture diagrams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience specializing in backend engineering and enterprise Java.
• Strong, hands-on professional expertise in Java, Apache Kafka, Redis, and Microservices architectures.
• Deep practical knowledge of RESTful API design, object-oriented programming, and concurrency management.
• Proven ability to work effectively within fast-paced, collaborative Agile development teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Mandatory nationality requirement: Indonesian nationality only.
