As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Your typical day will involve working with Java Enterprise Edition, performing maintenance, enhancements, and development work to ensure the smooth functioning of the software.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients.
- Perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth functioning of the software.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to identify and resolve software defects.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software development practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition with at least 2 years experience.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems or other related courses.Undergraduates are welcome to apply.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Java Enterprise Edition
- Knowledgeable in software development design patterns
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology and practices.
- Strong communication skills to work with clients and counterparts
- Familiarity with common design patterns and an understanding of how they can be applied to software development.
- Basic debugging and optimization skills
