Java Developer
Summary
Java Developer delivering code, tests, integrations, and low-level designs for critical functionality on client projects in an agile Scrum team. Core stack is Java and Spring Boot, with containers, DevOps/continuous delivery, and test-driven development; UK security clearance willingness is required.
In this role you will deliver high-quality implementations and documentation for critical functionality within an agile, Scrum-based team. You will produce code, tests, stubs and integrations while collaborating with multidisciplinary teammates to translate designs and requirements. You’ll create low-level designs and support digital transformation initiatives, bringing strong Java/Spring Boot expertise and a focus on quality, performance, and delivery in client projects.
Responsibilities- Deliver code, tests and integration work for critical functionality
- Produce documentation and low-level designs
- Work in an agile Scrum environment and participate in sprint rituals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand designs and requirements
- Assist in promoting and delivering digital transformation engagements
- Java and associated technologies
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Hands-on knowledge of open source tools, libraries and standards
- Some working knowledge of containers
- Experience in Test Driven Development, test coverage, and test automation
- Experience in DevOps tooling and Continuous Delivery
- Knowledge of performance tuning, profiling and debugging
- Knowledge of open source solutions and standards
- Willingness to undergo UK security clearance
