Java Developer – Senior
Summary
Senior backend developer building REST/SOAP APIs and microservices in Java/Spring Boot, integrating via IBM API Connect, and deploying with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
Responsibilities
- Backend / Integrations Developer
- Software developer with solid experience in backend development, focused on building robust, scalable, service-oriented applications. Strong expertise in Java with Spring Boot, concentrating on creating and maintaining REST APIs and SOAP services to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Consistent experience applying development best practices, including implementation of unit and automated tests, ensuring code quality and reducing production issues.
- Experience in integration architecture, with knowledge of API Gateway, especially using IBM API Connect (APIC), including API publishing, versioning, security and governance.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, using Docker and Kubernetes, working on creating and managing scalable and resilient environments.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, actively participating in automated build, test, and deploy workflows to enable faster and safer development cycles.
- Involvement in projects from conception to delivery, with experience developing new systems, defining architecture and best practices.
- Complementary knowledge of JavaScript and Python, broadening the ability to work across different layers and technologies.
