Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Java Developer with 8–10 years of experience to build and maintain backend applications, microservices, and cloud-based solutions. The role will focus on Java, Spring Boot, messaging, SQL, Unix, Azure, and reliable CI/CD delivery.

Software Requirements

Required

  • 8–10 years of Java development experience.

  • Java 8+ and Spring Boot.

  • Microservices and REST APIs.

  • Kafka and/or EMS messaging.

  • Unix/Linux and SQL.

  • Azure services, preferably App Services, AKS, Functions, and Storage.

  • CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and Agile delivery.

Preferred

  • AI/ML concepts and AI-assisted development tools.

  • Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, and cloud security.

  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend applications.

  • Design microservices, APIs, and messaging integrations.

  • Deploy and support cloud-native applications on Azure.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

  • Write efficient SQL and support database integrations.

  • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and production issues.

  • Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams.

  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and documentation.

  • Use cloud resources efficiently to support cost and sustainability goals.

Technical Skills

  • Programming: Java 8+, SQL, Unix shell scripting.

  • Databases: Relational databases, SQL optimization, transactions, and data integrity.

  • Cloud: Azure App Services, AKS, Functions, and Storage.

  • Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, REST, and microservices.

  • Messaging: Kafka and/or EMS.

  • Tools: Git, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile, and code reviews.

  • Security: Secure coding, authentication, authorization, encryption, and access control.

Experience Requirements

  • 8–10 years of Java development experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, microservices, messaging, Unix, SQL, Azure, and CI/CD.

  • Experience working independently and with distributed teams.

  • Financial services or digital operations experience is preferred.

  • Equivalent practical experience or technical certifications may be considered.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Develop, test, and deploy Java services.

  • Design APIs, messaging flows, and database integrations.

  • Monitor applications, logs, pipelines, and performance.

  • Resolve defects and production incidents.

  • Attend Agile meetings, design discussions, and code reviews.

  • Coordinate with product owners and engineering teams.

  • Document solutions and technical decisions.

  • Regular office attendance of at least three days per week is expected, subject to Synechron’s working arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

  • Java, Spring, Azure, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.

  • Completion of required Synechron security, compliance, and engineering training.

  • Commitment to ongoing technical learning.
