Java Software Developer / Software Engineer (Backend)

Participate in the full software development lifecycle: system design, coding, integration, testing and deployment.

Build and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.

Design and optimize REST APIs for robots, applications, and cloud services.

Apply cloud-native and SaaS principles to build scalable, high-performance systems.

Explore and support the integration of AI/LLM features into robotic control platforms.

Work with Microsoft SQL Server using JDBC, MyBatis, etc.

Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and robotics teams.

Deploy and monitor systems on cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.

Requirements:

• Degree, Associate Degree, or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Strong experience in Java backend development.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Java and Spring Boot
  • REST API, JSON
  • JDBC, SQL and MyBatis or other mainstream ORM frameworks
  • Microsoft SQL Server or other mainstream RDBMS
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS/Azure are an advantage.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot is highly desirable.
• Good collaborative mindset and problem-solving skills in cross-functional team settings.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn emerging technologies like AI/LLM and robotics.
• Good English and Chinese communication; Mandarin is a plus.
• Legal right to work in Hong Kong.
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior roles.
