Java Support Lead

Salary: £31,000 - 49,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a proven record of team leadership in a support environment.
• We require working knowledge and experience with Java and Python, including debugging API calls and working with UIs.
• We require the ability to handle support issues while also building out the function and automating resolution of repeat issues.
• We require the ability to dive into issues, solve them, or coordinate the response through to resolution.
• AWS knowledge is an advantage.
• We require a presentable, clear, and empathetic communicator who can speak with clients and stakeholders confidently up to senior levels.

Responsibilities:

• We provide oversight and leadership across several Marquee applications as a hands-on team lead.
• We investigate and drive support resolution with senior external clients, internal stakeholders, and other Marquee engineering teams, serving as the point of escalation for support issues.
• We troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
• We manage escalations and incidents, direct the team, and keep stakeholders updated.
• We manage staff rotas, schedules, and vacation planning.
• We engage with stakeholders to assess needs and provide monthly reporting.
• We ensure the team follows standard processes and monitor performance.
• We mentor and guide junior team members to support successful issue resolution.
• We continuously improve processes and systems to increase reliability and reduce risk.
• We influence and suggest improvements to the roadmap to enhance the Marquee client experience.
