Job: Data Engineering Intern
Summary
The Data Engineering Intern will work with experienced professionals to build data pipelines and improve data quality within a call center environment. The role involves using Microsoft Azure and learning modern data engineering practices.
We are looking for a Data Engineering Intern who is passionate about data, cloud technologies, and problem-solving. This role offers hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑scale lead management, sales, customer, and operational data within a fast‑paced call centre environment. The candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities, together with being a self‑motivated learner that is curious, inquisitive and detail‑oriented.The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Data Engineers and Analytics professionals to support the development of data pipelines, improve data quality, and help deliver reliable data products that enable business decision‑making. Exposure to Microsoft Azure, modern data engineering practices, and data management principles will form a key part of the internship experience.
Responsibilities
- Completed, a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
- Exposure to programming concepts, preferably Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and develop a career in data engineering.
Qualifications
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- Completed, a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
