Fraud Prevention / R&D in Biometrics, Liveness, and Device Intelligence

About the opportunity

We are looking for someone to work as a Jr. Data Scientist on fraud prevention initiatives, with a focus on biometrics/liveness, device intelligence, and modeling applied to real business problems. This person will support the construction of analytical solutions from data extraction and analysis to feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment of models, working in partnership with the technical team and developing autonomy throughout the journey.

Main responsibilities

  • Support the extraction, organization, and analysis of data from different sources for studies and fraud prevention solutions
  • Contribute to data preparation and feature engineering activities for building analytical models
  • Participate in the development, training, validation, and evolution of machine learning models applied to biometrics/liveness, device intelligence, and fraud detection
  • Support the deployment of models to experimentation or production environments, with guidance from the team
  • Work together with technical teams and partner areas to transform business problems into practical analyses and solutions
  • Contribute to the structuring and maintenance of pipelines and data routines that support the model lifecycle
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in data, processes, and analytical approaches in the area

  • Participation in R&D projects, MVPs, POCs, or research applied to analytical models
  • Knowledge of the integration between data science and data engineering

  • Knowledge of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis

  • Experience with data preparation, analytical exploration, and feature engineering
  • Interest in working across the model development cycle, from analysis to deployment
  • Solid foundation in data engineering or an interest in developing this capability in the context of pipelines and analytical flows
