Junior 2D Technical Artist

Description
We are looking for a Junior Technical Artist to support the animation pipeline and assist with the integration of animation assets into the game.
The role focuses on preparing, structuring, and organizing animation files so they can be efficiently implemented by developers. You will work closely with our Technical Artist, learning the pipeline hands-on, as well as collaborating with animators and developers to keep assets clean and ready for integration.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Spine 2D
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
• Understanding of 2D animation principles
• Basic scripting experience for pipeline tasks and comfort working with command-line tools
• Proficient in AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) as part of daily workflow
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a production pipeline

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and structuring Spine animation assets for game integration
• Export and organize animation files and texture atlases
• Support the Technical Artist in optimizing animation files and textures
• Maintain clean and consistent asset structure following team standards
• Help ensure smooth asset transfer from animators to developers
• Troubleshoot basic issues related to animation assets under guidance

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe After Effects
• Experience with Texture Packer
• Basic understanding of PixiJS or similar rendering engines
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, or similar)
• Experience working in a game development team
