Junior Architect

The Junior Architect supports licensed architects and senior design professionals in the planning, design, and documentation of buildings and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with architectural design and project development.
  • Prepare drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents using CAD or BIM software.
  • Support senior architects with project coordination and documentation.
  • Conduct site visits and assist with field measurements and project inspections.
  • Research building codes, zoning regulations, materials, and design standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing permit and construction documentation.
  • Revise drawings based on client feedback, design changes, and field conditions.
  • Help maintain project schedules, records, and design files.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Typically 0–3 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM/design tools.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and architectural principles.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Progress toward architectural licensure is often preferred but not always required.
