Junior Full Stack Developer

The role is based conceptually in Sandton, Gauteng, but is a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing web applications using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Design and implement server-side logic and APIs using back-end languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Java/Spring).
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across the full stack.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements into functional applications.
• Integrate with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications in cloud environments.
• Stay current with emerging web development technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to improving development processes and team efficiency.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework.
• Experience with back-end development: knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks.
• Understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, crucial for remote collaboration.
