Junior Infrastructure Engineer
You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize high-performance, low-latency infrastructure running on bare-metal hardware, hypervisors, FPGA-accelerated components, and low-latency networks. You will support RHEL systems, operate highly available routing and multicast environments, implement security and disaster recovery controls, coordinate maintenance windows, and improve configuration management, observability, and operational tooling.
Responsibilities
- Support, tune, and optimize RHEL systems on bare-metal hardware and hypervisors.
- Maintain highly available routing and multicast environments using BGP, OSPF, PIM, and IGMP.
- Maintain colocation and on-premises switching and connectivity.
- Design and implement security controls and disaster recovery procedures.
- Contribute to risk and architecture decisions.
- Lead maintenance windows and operational upgrades.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external exchanges, and colocation providers.
- Improve configuration management, observability, and operational tooling using Ansible, Zabbix, and Python.
Requirements
- Be a recent graduate or have up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Have an interest in computer hardware, home networks, and infrastructure.
- Demonstrate curiosity and an investigative approach to understanding how systems work.
- Be willing to learn how infrastructure supports business operations.
