What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and maintain applications using Java as your core language.
- Work on backend services and integrate with SQL databases.
- Learn and apply best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with guidance from senior team members.
Tech Stack You’ll Be Using:
- Languages: Java (primary), SQL, Python
- Frameworks & Tools: Spring Boot, REST APIs
- Cloud: AWS
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Collaboration: Git, Jira, Confluence
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Coding bootcamp graduates, apprenticeship graduates, early-career technologists, or STEM graduates in disciplines such as Computer Science, Economics, Physics, or related fields, with a passion for software development and problem-solving.
- Based in Birmingham or have the ability to relocate, with enthusiasm for being part of a collaborative team environment onsite 5 days per week.
- Some experience with Java development (academic, commercial, or personal projects).
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Exposure to Python for scripting or automation tasks.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn AWS cloud services.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
