In this role you will design, develop, test and deploy Java microservices in the AWS cloud to support a portfolio management SaaS platform used by investment teams. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on automated testing, continuous improvement, and problem solving. Your IB experience will help you contribute effectively in a finance-driven technology setting, with opportunities to prototype features and drive automation. This position offers a path to grow in a high-profile, enterprise-grade tech space in Central London.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and deploy Java microservices in AWS
  • Support other business units by querying data and building tools
  • Collaborate in a paired, highly collaborative environment to solve problems
  • Work with the full engineering team to improve architecture and processes
  • Prototype new concepts and technologies
  • Strive for automation and continuous improvement
  • Participate in design/code reviews and knowledge sharing
Key requirements
  • Investment Bank experience
  • Strong core Java design and development skills
  • Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals, OO programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems
  • Experience developing multi-threaded Java applications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or similar
