We are looking for a Junior Manual QA Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of a high-quality web-based product.
Requirements
At least one year of experience in software testing of web-based applications.
English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
Basic understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
Knowledge of HTTP request methods and status codes, and an understanding of how they function in web applications.
Practical experience with browser development tools, such as Chrome DevTools.
Deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman or Insomnia.
Completed Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. This is a mandatory requirement.
Nice to have
Experience with test documentation management tools, such as TestRail or Qase.
Knowledge of project management platforms, such as Jira, Trello, or Rally.
Knowledge of test case development techniques to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong soft skills, including communication and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough testing of new functionality during the implementation phase to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Identify, document, and test defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
Participate in smoke and regression testing to verify overall system integrity and quality.
Develop and review test documentation, including checklists, test cases, and acceptance criteria, to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Perform API testing using Postman to validate request and response behaviour and ensure backend functionality works as expected.
Gather and analyse requirements for new and existing functionality, contributing to the knowledge base and improving product understanding.
