Junior/Mid/Senior Design HVAC Engineer

We are currently looking for a Junior/Mid/Senior Design HVAC Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb or Rijeka, Croatia!

​​As a Design HVAC Engineer you will work within design engineering team, taking full responsibility for the mechanical HVAC design of infrastructure solutions across projects of all complexity levels, with a primary focus on the most complex and technically demanding applications. The role includes full technical ownership of HVAC system design and delivery, ensuring robust engineering solutions from concept through to final design. This encompasses HVAC calculations, system design development, single-line diagrams, layouts, equipment selection and schedules, as well as the preparation of detailed engineering documentation. The role also includes advanced HVAC modelling and coordination in Revit.

You will develop, review, and validate complex HVAC design solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable European and international standards, internal design guidelines, and project-specific requirements. A key responsibility is driving technical excellence and ensuring high-quality engineering outputs throughout the project lifecycle. In addition, the role includes leading and mentoring a team of junior and mid-level engineers. Provide technical direction, assign and review work, ensure design consistency, and actively support the professional development of less experienced team members. Role requires strong expertise in HVAC engineering principles, relevant codes and standards, and the ability to manage complex technical challenges in a structured and solution-oriented manner.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • ​​Developing of project conceptual and detailed design
  • Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of mechanical project documentation: heat load, ventilation calculations, CFD analysis, detail drawings, descriptions and material submittals
  • Participating in kick-off meetings, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
  • Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
  • Specifying Bill of Material (BOM) and services required for project execution
  • Providing technical support for project procurement
  • Cooperation with manufacturing and site deployment engineering team and commissioning engineer in testing
  • Participation in internal testing and FAT

Qualifications?

  • Master of Mechanical Engineering (preferred in thermodynamics)
  • Experience in collaborative projects and team management
  • ​Software - AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit (optional), CFD tools good to have (Ansys, DC Reality)
  • Other skills – independent, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, team work
  • English minimum B2 level

Time Travel Required:

  • Occasional site visits to EMEA region
