NewBe an early applicantAbout CareVicinity
CareVicinity is a purpose-driven technology company reimagining how aged care and disability support are accessed and delivered across Australia. Our platform connects care seekers with trusted support workers and providers, creating a more flexible, transparent and personalised care experience.
Technology is at the heart of what we do. Our Brisbane-based product and design team works closely with engineers, data specialists and care experts to create smarter tools that simplify care coordination and help people live independently for longer.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for people who are excited by the opportunity to build, improve, and shape solutions that will influence how care is delivered in the future.
As a Junior Product Designer, you’ll work closely with our Senior Product Designer and broader product team to turn research, user needs and business requirements into thoughtful, production-ready designs. You’ll contribute across the full design process while building hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools and intelligent product features.
What You’ll Do
- Turn ideas, user needs and requirements into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and clickable prototypes.
- Support user research, usability testing and shadowing sessions with care recipients, coordinators and support workers.
- Contribute to our Figma design system and help maintain consistency across web and mobile experiences.
- Collaborate with engineers during design handover and review completed work against the intended design.
- Document design decisions, feedback and project updates.
- Participate in design critiques, workshops and product meetings.
- Support UI copy, accessibility reviews and visual quality assurance.
- Use AI-assisted tools to explore concepts, accelerate prototyping and improve your workflow.
- Help design transparent, intuitive and human-centred AI features, including smart matching, scheduling suggestions and proactive care insights.
You’re Our Kind of Person If You…
- Have 1–2 years of experience in UX/UI or product design, or an awesome portfolio developed through study, freelance work or personal projects.
- Have foundational Figma skills and an understanding of modern product design workflows.
- Understand (or are keen to learn) user research, usability and accessibility principles.
- Are curious about AI-assisted design tools and excited to experiment with new ways of working.
- Are curious and enjoy understanding the “why” behind a problem.
- Feel comfortable sharing ideas, testing concepts and learning through feedback.
- Can explain your design thinking clearly to both designers and non-designers.
- Care about accessibility and designing products that solve real problems for people with different needs.
What’s In It for You?
- Work on products that help Australians access the care and support they need to live well at home.
- Learn directly from experienced design and product leaders across SaaS, marketplaces and health tech.
- Build practical experience across the full product design lifecycle.
- Develop early-career expertise in AI-assisted design and AI-powered product experiences.
- Work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment that values empathy, autonomy and experimentation.
- Enjoy a hybrid working model following probation.
- Receive a modern Mac and access to the design tools you need.
- Grow your career across design, product and operations within the wider Trilogy Care group.
- Join monthly team socials with an early finish to connect and celebrate.
- Enjoy birthday leave - the day is yours.
