Junior Product Owner
In this delivery-focused role, you will work closely with Product Management, Design, Engineering, QA and BI to turn product priorities into clear, actionable work for our development teams. It is a great opportunity to grow your product skills while taking real ownership of the day-to-day delivery process.
- Support the Product Management team in refining product requirements and translating approved PRDs into implementation-ready epics, user stories and tickets.
- Ensure user stories have clear acceptance criteria and are sufficiently refined before entering development.
- Maintain and order the backlog according to priorities set by product leadership.
- Take part in regular and ad hoc meetings to clarify product requirements with development, design and other delivery teams.
- Support our two-week delivery cycle by ensuring development teams have the information and decisions they need to proceed.
- Identify missing requirements, dependencies, open decisions and blockers early, and escalate them to Product or Delivery.
- Work closely with QA to communicate product and release priorities, clarify acceptance criteria, and support defect triage and release-readiness decisions.
- Support product acceptance and release readiness by checking delivered functionality against agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support the BI team by translating product questions, KPIs and tracking needs into clear data requirements.
- Ensure agreed analytics requirements are captured as part of delivery, including relevant event tracking before work is considered complete.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date product documentation in Jira and Confluence.
- You are passionate about building products for LGBTQ+ communities and interested in contributing to the continued development of ROMEO.
- You have initial experience in a Product Owner or similar product delivery role, ideally in a B2C environment. Experience in social, dating or community products is a plus. Being familiar with how our product works is a plus.
- You have experience writing or refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
- You have a good understanding of Agile product development and ideally hands-on experience with Scrum and/or Kanban.
- You are comfortable working with Jira and Confluence. Experience with Xray is a plus.
- You are organised, detail-oriented and reliable in following work through to completion.
- You proactively follow up on missing information and drive requirements towards clarity.
- You are based in Berlin or willing to relocate and are happy to work from our Wittenbergplatz office at least three days per week.
- You have excellent written and spoken English skills, ideally at a native or near-native level.
- A hands-on role working on an established European digital product during a significant phase of product and technology transformation.
