Junior Safety Inspector
Responsibilities
Assist the project HSE team in adhering to safety standards as per the approved HSE plan, client HSE requirements, and company safety manual to create a safe working environment.
Inspect the site equipment, tools, ladders, scaffolds, fire extinguishers, and DBs as per the HSE checklist.
Regularly inspect the site for adherence to the method statement and risk assessment.
Prepare the list of unsafe acts or unsafe practices and report to project team / senior HSE personnel for remedial action.
Ensure permit to work procedure is followed by all site operatives and valid PTW is available at the workplace.
Inspect and ensure that workers are equipped with the necessary PPE specific to each type of work conducted on site (e.g., goggles for welders, safety helmets, harnesses for scaffolding workers).
Conduct regular toolbox talks and maintain records.
Report all incidents and accidents to the HSE team and project team.
Participate in accident investigations with the QHSE manager and project team.
Provide safety induction to site operatives.
Qualifications
Diploma or certification in Construction Safety Engineering or any equivalent vocational safety certification.
NEBOSH IGC.
Experience
1+ years’ experience as a safety professional in construction, interior fit out, or manufacturing.
