Junior Security Engineer
Summary
KAZOKKU is hiring an L1 Security Engineer on a 1-year contract to support 24/7 SOC operations for a mining-company client in Slipi, West Jakarta (fully onsite). Day to day: monitoring and threat/incident analysis, SIEM log review, advising customers on remediation, fine-tuning managed security services, and preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports.
Salary: Rp 7.000.000 – Rp 9.000.000 per month
About the role
KAZOKKU is hiring a Security Engineer (L1) to be placed at a leading mining company in Jakarta on a 1-year contract. You will support 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) operations, analyze security threats and incidents, and help deliver managed security services. This is a contract position through KAZOKKU, fully onsite.
Key responsibilities
Supervise 24/7 SOC Analyst operations
Conduct security threat and/or incident analysis
Communicate and advise customers on mitigation/remediation actions
Perform initial fine-tuning and response related to security managed services
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports for customers
Support the implementation of security tools
About you
Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, NOC, or IT infrastructure (fresh graduates with relevant certifications are welcome)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP/S, firewall, VPN)
Basic knowledge of security concepts and common attacks (malware, phishing, brute force, DDoS)
Able to read and analyze logs from firewalls, servers, or endpoints to identify anomalies
Familiar with at least one SIEM tool (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Wazuh, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel)
Understanding of the basic incident handling flow (triage, escalation, documentation)
Good reporting skills (Excel/PowerPoint) and clear communication
Good English, at least in reading and writing
Willing to work fully onsite in Slipi, West Jakarta, and available to join ASAP
