Junior Software Engineer — OnePlatform Team
About the role:
Our platform powers a large-scale software-distribution and monetization system: installers and bundlers that deliver freeware to millions of users while presenting curated third-party software offers during setup. You'll join a small, fast-moving engineering team that builds and operates this platform end-to-end — from the installer binaries themselves, through a config-as-code offer system, to the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure that ships signed builds to production.
Responsibilities
The job involves software development as well as elements of professional services.
- Develop and maintain our proprietary, distribution platform for cyber\security products that will be used by millions of users.
- Maintain and extend our installers across multiple engines.
- Write internal automation tools to improve cross-team workflows.
- Work in a ticket-driven workflow (Jira), collaborating closely with senior engineers on PRs and code review.
- Support the business team by assisting with data driven analytics, investigations and solving everyday challenges.
- Utilize, maintain & handle Agentic systems.
Requirements
- Solid fundamentals in at least one general-purpose language (Python, C#, C++, or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with structured configuration files (YAML/JSON) and reasoning about how configuration drives behavior.
- Familiarity with Git and pull-request workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS (or other cloud providers) services and best-practices.
- Meticulous attention to detail — With a user-base as big as ours, every small changes matters.
- Clear written communication and the ability to work from tickets and specs.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively analyze and resolve technical issues.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Advantages
- Up to 2 years of experience in the following domains: Technical Support \ NOC \ Technical Operations \ Integrator.
- Experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
- Windows development / native (C++/C#) background.
- Understanding of registry, OS internals, WinAPI's.
- Familiarity with the ecosystem of security applications & terminology.
