Junior System Engineer – Windows / M365 / Infrastructure

We are looking for a Junior System Engineer to provide technical support across user, systems and infrastructure environments.

This role is suitable for an experienced IT Support or Desktop Support Engineer who is ready to progress into L2 systems and infrastructure support and gain broader technical exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle escalated technical issues requiring deeper troubleshooting beyond first-level support.

• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and file/print services.

• Perform Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.

• Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPN and related infrastructure issues.

• Assist with server maintenance, patching and system health checks.

• Support VMware / Hyper-V virtual environments.

• Perform backup and recovery tasks.

• Assist with firewall and security-related support activities.

• Document technical resolutions and root-cause findings.

• Work with senior engineers, vendors and application teams to resolve more complex incidents.

Requirements

• Around 2–3 years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, System Support or a related role.

• Good hands-on troubleshooting experience in Windows environments.

• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

• Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration.

• Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN.

• Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Keen to develop deeper technical skills across systems and infrastructure.

• VMware / Hyper-V

• Backup solutions

• Azure / AWS

• Endpoint security / EDR

• PowerShell or other scripting
