Summary

Junior Visual Designer at SCRL, a Stockholm-based social media design platform with 7M+ monthly creators. Day to day you design editable post/story/carousel templates, source and prepare photography, and refresh the content library, working closely with senior designers using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

About SCRL

SCRL is a purpose-built social media design platform that helps creators, brands and businesses make scroll-stopping social media posts in minutes. Our tools help more than 7 million monthly active creators turn their ideas into content. By bringing together technology, design, and a deep understanding of how people create, we’re building a new kind of creative toolkit for social media.

We've done it without raising venture capital or chasing headlines. Instead, we've focused on creating products people genuinely love and building a company with ambitious, thoughtful people who care deeply about their craft. We're a fast-moving team headquartered in Stockholm.

Our Content team builds the library of templates, layouts and imagery that our users start from every day, so their feeds look great without a design degree. We're a small, creative team that cares about craft, trends and the people who use what we make.

The role

We're looking for a Junior Designer to help grow and refresh SCRL's content library. You'll design templates our users build their posts from, find photography that makes them shine, and bring fresh ideas to a team that loves to experiment.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of room to learn. You'll work closely with senior designers and the wider Content team, and see your work go live in the app quickly.

What you'll do

  • Design templates for our content library. Create on-trend, easy-to-edit templates for posts, stories, carousels and more, balancing great looks with flexibility for users.

  • Source amazing photography. Find, curate and prepare high-quality images that fit our style, cover a wide range of themes and seasons, and meet licensing requirements.

  • Collaborate across the team. Work with designers, content creators and product to plan collections, share feedback and keep the library consistent.

  • Brainstorm new ideas. Spot social media trends early, pitch concepts for new collections and formats, and help shape what the library looks like next.

  • Keep the library fresh. Update and improve existing templates based on what users love and what's performing well.

You have:

  • 0–2 years of design experience, from a job, internship, freelance work or studies

  • A portfolio showing strong visual skills in layout, typography and color

  • Working knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools

  • A great eye for photography and how images work in a composition

  • A genuine love for social media, and a feel for what makes a post stand out

  • Good communication skills and comfort giving and receiving feedback

  • Fluent English

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating social media content or templates

  • Basic photo editing and retouching skills

  • Understanding of image licensing and stock platforms

  • Motion design or animation skills

What we offer:

  • Your work seen and used by creators every day

  • Mentorship from experienced designers and room to grow your skills

  • A friendly, creative team that values new ideas

  • A beautiful Stockholm office near Slussen, with great snacks

  • Competitive salary and benefits

We're builders at heart and believe great companies are created when talented people spend time together, challenge each other and move quickly towards ambitious goals. If you thrive in high-trust environments, enjoy a high bar for quality and want to help shape the next chapter of a profitable, product-led company, we'd love to hear from you
