Junior Web Dev QA Analyst
With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games. As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Junior Web Dev QA Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Team, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely follow-up on assigned tasks.
- Execute testing instructions from the Digital Team and proactively support investigations, validation, and regression testing.
- Develop, maintain, and improve web automation scripts for automated testing.
- Maintain end-to-end automation scripts and contribute to the stability of the automation framework.
- Develop an understanding of Digital QA workflows and their application across Digital and Gameplay QA contexts.
- Support Gameplay QA feature testing when required, based on project priorities and workload availability.
- Execute testing instructions and validate regressions from the Gameplay QA Team.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS, and basic JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Ability to prepare test cases and test scenarios.
- Basic understanding of web applications, HTTP, and APIs.
- Ability to use browser developer tools.
- Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing.
- Familiarity with Git concepts such as branches, commits, pull, push, and merge requests.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with QA and Digital teams.
- Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong interest in identifying bugs, investigating issues, and contributing to the delivery of a high-quality user experience through QA practices.
Nice to haves
- General experience using the Playwright test automation framework.
- General understanding of REST APIs and their role in testing workflows.
- Familiarity with reporting and task-tracking tools such as Jira.
- General knowledge of GitLab CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of WCAG Guidelines.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to write simple queries for data retrieval and use database administration tools such as MySQL Workbench or similar.
