JVM Software Engineer | 1
We are looking for a Regular JVM Software Engineer to join a backend development team supporting a large-scale modernization initiative. In this role, you will contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions aimed at transforming existing applications and migrating them to a modern technology stack.
You will work closely with the team on backend development, application modernization, and migration-related activities, helping deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring business continuity and system reliability.
Main Tasks
- Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of backend solutions.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Support migration and modernization activities within existing systems.
- Design and develop REST APIs and microservices.
- Refactor and improve existing codebases to enhance maintainability and scalability.
- Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment to deliver project objectives.
- Create and maintain automated tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Contribute to CI/CD and software quality processes.

- Commercial experience with Java development within the JVM ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
- Experience building microservices and REST APIs.

- Experience working with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
- Familiarity with Maven, Git, and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in Agile development teams.
- Interest in AI technologies and their practical application in software development.
- English & Polish proficiency at B2 level.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Sybase databases.
- Experience developing stored procedures.
- Familiarity with Gauge.
- Experience refactoring legacy applications and improving code quality, maintainability, and modularity.
- Experience migrating applications to modern technology stacks and microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of domain-driven design principles and preserving business logic during system evolution and modernization.
