Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) and Excess & Surplus (E&S) insurance domain expertise. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, underwriting, claims, policy administration, and technology teams to analyze requirements, improve insurance processes, and support system enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for P&C and E&S insurance applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and operations teams to identify process improvements.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Support policy lifecycle processes including quoting, rating, issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims workflows.
• Perform gap analysis between business needs and system capabilities.
• Work with QA teams on test scenarios, UAT planning, and defect resolution.
• Support insurance system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Facilitate communication between business users, product owners, and technical teams.
• Analyze data, reports, and workflows to support business decisions.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience in the Insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products and E&S insurance processes.
• Experience with underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and rating systems.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and tools like Jira/Confluence.
• Strong requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other insurance platforms is preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) IIBA
• PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Certification
• Insurance certifications such as CPCU, AINS, or ARM
