L1 Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot router, switch, and network connectivity issues

• Diagnose LAN, WAN, and VLAN-related problems

• Perform IP addressing, subnetting, and interface checks

• Use tools such as ping and traceroute

• Execute basic CLI commands (Cisco IOS preferred)

• Log and manage incidents in ticketing systems

• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers

• Assist with maintenance and basic configurations

• Document issues and resolutions

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Networking, or related field

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting

• Understanding of VLANs and switching concepts

• Familiarity with routers and switches

• Basic CLI knowledge

Preferred:

• CCNA or CompTIA Network+

• Hands-on lab experience (Packet Tracer, GNS3)

• Exposure to monitoring tools

Experience:

• 3-4 years
