Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry/IH)

EMSL Analytical is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry/IH) in Pineville, NC. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze environmental, lead, and industrial hygiene chemistry samples
Prepare and analyze inorganic / organic bulk sample matrices using EPA methods
Use of analytical equipment such as Flame AA, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, and/or XRD
Sample prep methods including acid digestion/ organic extraction / inorganic digestion,
appropriate batch QC and standards
Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal
Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
Generate analytical reports and enter data into LIMS system
Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phones
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
