Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven *Laboratory Manager (Environmental Chemistry)* to oversee laboratory operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead technical and quality excellence within an environmental testing laboratory. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily operations, developing team capabilities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with SAC-SINGLAS, ISO/IEC 17025, and EHS standards.
- Support audits, CAPA implementation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely testing.
- Supervise workflow, resource utilization, and technical data review.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Drive continuous improvement and develop new testing capabilities.
- Lead team performance and liaise effectively with stakeholders and clients.
Key Requirements
* Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, or related discipline
* Minimum *8 years of relevant laboratory experience*, preferably in environmental testing
* Strong experience in *water, wastewater/sludge, and soil testing* is highly preferred
* SAC-SINGLAS signatory certification is advantageous
* In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, laboratory quality systems, and equipment management
* At least *3 years of supervisory or leadership experience*
