D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division Land Acquisition Manager. The right candidate will oversee land acquisition activities within an assigned geographic area while maintaining responsibility for assigned acquisition transactions. This role supervises land acquisition personnel, manages departmental operations, and directly supports the execution of land acquisition strategies that align with business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Land Acquisition Analysts, Senior Analysts, and Land Acquisition Managers

  • Lead land acquisition activities and maintain responsibility for assigned transactions

  • Review acquisition analyses, due diligence findings, and transaction recommendations prepared by land acquisition team members

  • Establish acquisition priorities and monitor pipeline activity to support business objectives

  • Negotiate and secure land transactions while ensuring compliance with company approval requirements

  • Coordinate acquisition activities with land development, finance, operations, legal, and executive leadership

  • Monitor departmental budgets, forecasts, reports, and acquisition performance metrics

  • Evaluate market conditions and recommend strategic acquisition opportunities and adjustments

  • Support talent planning activities, including interviewing, onboarding, training, performance coaching, and succession planning for land acquisition team members

  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and improving land acquisition processes, tools, and reporting practices to support consistent execution across assigned markets

  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profitability of the company

  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
