Landscape Designer (Sales & Customer Service)

Modern Forest Pte Ltd is part of the Far East Flora Group and specializes in customized stainless steel planters, balcony landscaping and premium landscape design solutions.

We are looking for a creative, motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Landscape Designer (Sales & Customer Service).

The successful candidate will be involved in developing landscape design solutions for residential balconies, terraces and indoor spaces, while also attending to showroom customers, providing product recommendations and supporting sales activities.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in landscape design, horticulture or a related field who enjoys creative design work and interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities

A. Landscape Design

• Develop creative and practical landscape concepts for residential balconies, terraces and indoor spaces.
• Prepare 2D/3D landscape drawings, planting proposals and design presentations for customers.
• Recommend suitable plants, planters and landscaping solutions based on customers' requirements, preferences and budgets.
• Conduct site visits, take measurements and discuss design requirements with customers.
  

B. Customer Service and Sales

• Attend to walk-in customers at the showroom and introduce Modern Forest's products and services.
• Understand customers' needs and provide suitable landscape design and product recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries, follow up on potential leads and assist in converting enquiries into sales.
• Prepare quotations and follow up with customers on proposed designs and pricing.
• Maintain good customer relationships and provide a positive showroom experience.

C. Project and Showroom Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist with showroom displays and ensure the showroom is presentable and professionally maintained.
• Provide general support in daily showroom operations when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Architecture, Interior Design or related fields.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop or similar applications.
• Basic knowledge of tropical plants, horticulture and landscape design.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers.
• Able to converse in both English and Mandarin to attend to customers and handle enquiries.
• Customer-oriented, with an interest in sales and providing suitable solutions to customers.
• Independent, responsible, creative and willing to learn.
• Able to work on Saturdays.
• Previous experience in landscape design or a related field is preferred.
• Previous sales or customer service experience will be an added advantage, but is not essential.
