We are seeking a Laundry Route Driver who is dependable, safety-focused, and service-oriented to support our daily transportation and delivery operations. Primary Responsibilities
As a Laundry Route Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of linens, uniforms, and dry-cleaned items while maintaining quality and service standards.
You will operate assigned routes, ensure accurate handling of items, and provide professional interactions at each service location. Your role is essential in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the overall success of laundry services.
Essential Job Functions
Safely operate company delivery vehicles along assigned routes
Pick up soiled linens and garments and deliver clean items according to schedule
Load, unload, and transport laundry carts, bags, and supplies using safe practices
Maintain separation, cleanliness, and quality of transported items
Complete delivery logs, tickets, and related documentation accurately
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned delivery vehicle
Communicate delays, service issues, or shortages with supervisors
Provide professional and respectful service at all delivery locations
Utilize company-issued mobile or tablet applications for route management and documentation
Assist with in-house laundry or dry-cleaning duties as needed
Perform all duties in compliance with safety policies and procedures
Secondary Job Functions
Assist with loading dock operations and coordination of deliveries
Support inventory tracking or supply movement as assigned
Help maintain organization of storage or staging areas
Provide support during peak operational periods or staffing shortages
Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership
Working Conditions
Work performed both indoors and outdoors, including loading dock environments
Exposure to varying weather conditions during route operations
Frequent driving and physical movement throughout the shift
Work Hours
Schedule based on operational needs
May include early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
Equipment Use
Delivery vehicles and route transportation equipment
Laundry carts, bins, and transport containers
Mobile phones or tablets for route tracking and communication
Mental and Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and sitting
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Communication Demands
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients in person and via phone
Provide clear updates regarding deliveries, delays, or service needs
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Valid driver’s license required
CDL preferred but not required
Clean traffic abstract with no moving violations within the past three (3) years
Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
