Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead AI Engineer with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP and Generative AI. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing, developing and deploying enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions, with mandatory practical experience in Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.

The role requires strong Python programming skills, expertise in LLMs, RAG architectures, AI application development and the ability to lead end-to-end AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Machine Learning and Deep Learning models using Python.
• Build and implement NLP solutions, including text classification, entity recognition, summarization and conversational AI.
• Develop Generative AI applications using LLMs such as GPT, LLaMA and Claude.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and integrate vector databases.
• Build, configure and deploy AI solutions using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
• Work with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio and Azure Copilot Studio.
• Perform LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, model evaluation and optimization.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to develop scalable data pipelines and AI solutions.
• Implement MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with business stakeholders.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• 10+ years of overall experience in AI/ML, Data Science or related engineering domains.
• Strong hands-on Python and SQL programming.
• Strong understanding of Classical Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
• Practical experience with NLP, Transformers and Hugging Face.
• Hands-on experience developing Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
• Strong experience implementing RAG applications and working with vector databases.
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or Semantic Kernel.
• Working knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow and Scikit-learn.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments.

Good to Have

• Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure Copilot Studio and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Experience with GPT, LLaMA, Claude and other LLM models.
• Experience with MLflow, Airflow and MLOps tools.
• LLM fine-tuning, AI safety frameworks and responsible AI practices.
• Experience in enterprise, banking, financial services, consulting or SaaS domains.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related discipline. Master's/PhD preferred.

Important

Candidates must have actual hands-on implementation experience with Azure AI Foundry. Exposure to Azure OpenAI or other Azure services alone will not be considered sufficient.
