Lead Analyst, People Analytics
ServiceTitan is building the operating system for the trades, and the People Insights & Analytics (PIA) team is building the people-analytics function that helps us do it. We are hiring a Lead Analyst to own our most complex analytical work and bring research-grade rigor to the questions we answer. You will design the dashboards and insight content with stakeholder adoption and usage in mind while partnering directly with HR leaders to turn data into decisions. This is a small team built to do outsized work - strong systems augmented with AI handle the execution, so the skill that matters most is judgment: knowing what to build, why, and whether the answer is right.
What you’ll do
Partner directly with HR product owners to learn how they make decisions, then design product-intelligence reporting that helps them explore their data and connect signals to decisions to north-star outcomes.
Design and build an interconnected suite of dashboards paired with enablement - such as usage guides that guide stakeholders to understand their data to drive adoption and improved decision-making.
Bring applied research-methods rigor to our analytical work. Design sound analyses and apply the judgment to know when an inference holds, when the data misleads, and when a model fits the decision at hand (e.g., strong understanding of sampling error, survivorship bias, cross-validation, bias-variance tradeoffs).
Author theory-grounded institutional knowledge that clear, measurable process models for answering durable questions such as what drives talent density, where the hiring process slows down and why. Contributes to a foundational knowledge base that raises ServiceTitan’s people-analytic intelligence.
Translate complex analysis into executive-ready insight. Lead with the decision the audience faces, articulating a clear “so what” and keep the detail in support, not on the surface.
Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on organizational problems, contributing to PIA’s growing advisory vertical with deep data, systems, and content expertise.
Design and build AI-driven workflows that let a small team do outsized work, using AI to accelerate content, documentation, code, and analysis so people focus on judgment and accuracy.
Work hands-on across the PIA stack (Visier, Snowflake, SQL, and Python or R), building, validating, and shipping directly when the work calls for it.
Raise the quality bar for the team’s analytical work, modeling strong standards and helping teammates do their best work.
What you’ll bring
5+ years in a quantitative or analytics role building business intelligence and generating actionable insights, preferably on a People or HR team.
A strong applied research-methods foundation, including experimental and quasi-experimental design, statistical inference, and the judgment to assess validity and fitness for purpose. Conceptual command matters more here than hands-on coding.
A track record of translating analysis into decisions for senior, non-technical audiences, with real adoption results to point to.
Proven stakeholder management and a consultative approach with senior leaders.
Comfort defining problems in ambiguous spaces, not only solving well-defined ones.
Technical fluency to build and validate independently: SQL, Python or R, BI and analytics platforms, and data pipelines. This is the floor, not the differentiator.
Advanced visualization and data-storytelling skills.
Experience using AI tools to accelerate analytical work.
A self-starter who handles sensitive and confidential data with discretion.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Psychology, Statistics, or Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
A master’s or doctoral degree in a related field.
Visier experience (highly preferred).
Working knowledge of Workday HCM.
Experience in a lean or embedded analytics function, or helping stand up an analytics capability in its early stages.
